In the Shop Local Special Edition, Birdman visits with Jesus Cayeros, the Chef at Salt Restaurant and Wine Bar. They discuss Jesus' background, where he grew up, what got him into cooking, the steps he took to become a chef, and what he does at Salt Restaurant and Wine Bar.

Salt had an established menu and Jesus has worked with the owners to create a new menu that is more affordable and that will be more modern and attract even the younger crowd. Salt wants to help change from being a special occasion restaurant to your favorite, frequently visited!
Everything is now made in house, from scratch. It's hard, but they do it for the craft and for the customers.
The new winter menu is out with new pricing. Come by to try something new, or Chef Jesus' favorite dish, the Sous Vide!
