The Community Shout is how you the listener can come in and share anything from charity events, to fundraisers and even just to comment on how cool your neighbor is! Just stop by the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am in The Chamber's Visitor Center, have a seat and tell everyone what's going on.

Linda Kingery, Development Director with the Family Advocacy Center shares information about what the center offers for the children and families of Navajo County and about an upcoming fundraiser.

The FAC has been open over 6 years now, since May 2011. They have helped over 1,100 children who have been physically or sexually abused. Currently there is a part-time victim advocate who follows up with the parents and children; help with counseling and case management. Hopefully they will have a mental help therapist soon to help at the center and be able to offer more services to the community.
*The 5th Annual Golf Tournament for the FAC will be benefiting the Family Advocacy Center, a non-profit agency providing services to children of physical and sexual abuse.
It will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2017 at the Torreon Golf Course. 12:30pm Shotgun. Set Aside Scramble. $110 entry fee which includes: golf, cart, dinner, prizes, great raffle & silent auction items)

The Navajo County Family Advocacy Center is raffling Go-Float Two-Person Electric Boat (with trailer)!
Drawing will be held Friday, September 8, 2017. All proceeds donated go to the FAC to help sexually and physically abused children.
