Thursday Night, September 21st, the town of Pinetop-Lakeside will be hosting a Burger Burn at Mountain Meadow Park. A KICK-OFF BBQ for early arrivals, come hang out! 

Friday, September 22nd is Registration at the Members Room at the Clubhouse in Pinetop Lakes Golf and Country Club, where packets are picked up, and then then vehicles will make their way to the LDS Church on the corner of 60 and 260. 

The Cavalcade will start at 4:15 pm from Show Low and head up to Hondah Resort and Casino where a BBQ will be held from 5pm to 7pm. 

Saturday, September 23rd, the car show will start at 9am and run through 4pm. There will be a shuttle that runs from Hondah to the car show every 30 minutes all day Saturday. There will also be another shuttle up at the Orchard's at the Presbyterian Church from 10am-4pm that will take you to the car show. 

The shuttle is a great way to avoid the traffic!

Sunday, September 24th the car show starts at 8am and runs through noon. At noon the awards ceremony will begin and then the raffle drawings will be at approximately 1:30pm. The shuttle at Hondah will run until noon Sunday.

There are cars coming in from 8 different states this year! Please remember to be respectful, and not touch the cars. Be cautious if you are wearing jewelry or a belt buckle. Dogs and bikes will not be allowed on the field. The Humane Society will be there to watch your dogs if and when needed.

There will also be 50+ vendors so you'll have an opportunity to shop and purchase raffle tickets!

Brian Kramer, Publisher and Wiley Acheson, Retail Advertising Manager with the White Mountain Independent and the Birdman announce that they will be teaming up and working together to talk about and share what's going on in the communities of the White Mountains. 

The Show Low and Pinetop-Lakeside Community Shout will be co-branded with Birdman Media and White Mountain Independent to better serve the community. If you have events, activities, or any information you'd like to share, there is a recording once a week, it's free and available to you.

You can come to the WMI conference room the 1st or 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10am or to the Pinetop-Lakeside Chamber Visitor Center the 2nd or 4th Tuesday of the month at 10am.

Lexington is located in the Park Pineway Plaza next to China-Wok: 4401 S White Mountain Rd, Show Low, AZ 85901.

The school has been here for over a year now! This is their 2nd school year. There are different spectrums of Autism, and here the staff and teachers are trained to work with these kids and are able to customize to each child's needs individually! It is such an amazing program.

Chrissy and Bob share an exciting fundraiser for St. Anthony's!

A Stand Up Comedy Show featuring Arizona's Top 3 Comedians will be held at the Blue Ridge Auditorium September 23rd.  Tickets are $25 per person, for fun, clean comedy. The funds are being raised for a new bus, a means of safe transportation from Snowflake to St. Anthony's and to and from Whiteriver. Come support your community!

Jim, a member of the Submarine Veterans talks about another great event this weekend! 

The Annual White Mountain Submarine Veterans Golf Tournament will be this Saturday, August 5th at the Snowflake Community Golf Course. Registration is from 7am-9am. During that time there will be a silent auction, raffle, delicious coffee and donuts!

Tickets are $75/person. All money raised stays in the community! There will be little surprises while you're golfing. Come out and have some fun.

Susan Rodriguez, NBCT, Education Specialist for Navajo County chats with Birdman about the High Mountain Half Marathon that takes place Saturday, August 5th at the Blue Ridge School District Campus.

The course is 13.1 miles. You do not have to be a runner to participate. There is a section for walkers, who will start earlier. You can also do the 'Relay' portion with a partner if you want to split the course in half. There is a 5k and a 'Fun Run' for the kids too! The finish line is the same point for all participants.

The High Mountain Half Marathon supports local youth sports, arts, and clubs. They have a goal of $25,000 for this year and need your help to get the last $5,000! Consider becoming a sponsor or runner. More information can be found on the website at: www.HighMountainHalf.com . We encourage our entire community to come out and support the runners and walkers on Saturday August 5th along the race route. Signs, music, and just clapping are GREATLY appreciated by the runners. Spectators are also welcome to come and enjoy the festivities at the finish line in the Fun Zone, an festival of activities, live music, and food.

Commander Keil is also involved in the First Responder's Legacy Scholarship Fund in the name of late Officer Reed. It was created by five organizations who wanted to have a perpetual fund in memory of Officer Reed; the VFW, the Elks, the Moose, the American Legion, & the White Mountain Sub Vets.

They are hosting big event, the Darrin Reed Memorial Scholarship Fund BBQ-Fundraiser this Saturday, July 22nd at the Elks Lodge in Show Low from 12pm to 4pm. There will be a dunk tank, a live auction, and silent auction. Any business owners or bosses that want to raise money by being dunked, please sign up to participate!

Join us for an afternoon of fun and enjoy a nice barbeque lunch and cupcakes.

Music will be provided by Mr. Music Karaoke and DJ Services, the MC will be W. Steven Martin (KNIX 2 time CMA Award Winner), Chuck Haynie will be the auctioneer for the live auction and silent auction, and more to come.
