The fire is currently burning 5,200 acres. The total scorched area is 8,000 due to control burns to battle the fire.
Show Low, Pinetop-Lakeside and McNary are still on pre-evacuation warnings. The fire is between ½ and ¼ mile from the trigger point for evacuation. However, no evacuations have been issued for these communities.
If residents are evacuated, they will be provided with green and orange tags. If residents leave, we ask that they prominently display their green tags to know the house is clear. If they stay, please display the orange tag.

Livestock will be staged at the Navajo County Fairgrounds in Holbrook. House pets and small animals will be staged by the Humane Society at Snowflake High School (190 S. 200 West, Snowflake, AZ) with potential evacuees. A second livestock location is being set up at the Springerville Rodeo grounds. House pets and small animals will be housed at the Springerville-Eager animal shelter to accompany the secondary evacuation location at Round Valley Middle School (126 W. 2nd St, Eager, AZ).
