The Community Shout is how you the listener can come in and share anything from charity events, to fundraisers and even just to comment on how cool your neighbor is! Just stop by the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am in The Pinetop - Lakeside Chamber's Visitor Center, have a seat and tell everyone what's going on.

Pat Kennedy and Anna Amos, both Navajo County Fair and Rodeo Board Members stop by to chat with Birdman about the 86th Navajo County Fair and Rodeo that started this Wednesday, September 13th. It'll run through Sunday, September, 17th.
A little information about what's going on each day:
Thursday, September 14th: Open at 9am with livestock judging and more. Thursday night is the Demolition Derby.
Friday, September 15th: Rodeo, gates/box office opens at 5pm, pre- show starts at 7pm, Rodeo at 730pm. There will be entertainment, live music until midnight! Stage shows, magicians, balloon animals, and of course the fair food!
Saturday, September 16th: morning Rodeo for those who want to perform without a crowd. Saturday night Rodeo, pre-show at 6pm, Rodeo at 6:30pm.
Sunday, September 17th: fair opens at 10am and its FREE DAY!

Malaina Spillman with the Pinetop - Lakeside Chamber of Commerce stops by to share information about the upcoming 2017 Fall Festival, which is this month!
The 42nd Fall Festival will be at Charlie Clark's at The Orchard again this year - September 22nd, 23rd, and 24th, 10am - 4pm.
There will be shuttle location where you can park you car and the shuttle van will take you to the Fall Festival and Car Show and back to your vehicle. This will be located on Penrod Lane, behind Charlie Clark's at the Presbyterian church.
Friday, the cavalcade of cars (for the car show) will come through town. Many people set chairs out to watch the cars drive by. Please remember this is NOT a parade.
The Annual Parade will be Saturday, September 23rd, at 10am. It starts at BBVA Compass Bank in Pinetop and ends at Blue Ridge Highschool.

This year's theme for the parade is: Great American Educators. There will be 4 prizes for floats. The Grand Prize Award will be $250 for the Best Float; the Albert Einstein Award.
Remember, the car show RUN to the PINES is also the same weekend of the Fall Festival, a separate event. It's going to be a busy, fun filled weekend!!!
