From the Bands website.
Tramps & Thieves has been called: “A Country Folk Rock band with an Outlaw Hippie Attitude.” The band consists of dual lead singer-guitarists J. Scott Howard and Emmett DeGuvera, bassist Nolan McKelvey, and drummer Scott B. Seymann.
With its unique Southwestern sound, Tramps & Thieves has been a cherished staple in the Arizona music scene since 2001. The band recently released its fourth independent album, Galloping Hearts, which is a follow-up to its previous three albums, Mill Avenue Cowboys, Spittin’ Into the Wind, and Perennials. Tramps & Thieves continues to play to packed audiences around the Valley of the Sun and statewide, including shows with Jason Isbell, Shurman, Dead Hot Workshop, Ghetto Cowgirl, The Pistoleros, and Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers. Tramps & Thieves returned home from its first tour of Germany in October 2015, and has plans to go back overseas to continue growing its international fan base.
Tramps & Thieves remains one of the few Arizona bands to release authentic, independent, original music, fusing Rock ‘n’ roll with Alternative, Folk, Americana and Country music. Taking its name from the hit song, “Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves,” the band counts Tom Petty, The Black Crowes, The Jayhawks, Waylon Jennings, The Band, Wilco, and others as its influences. If their music sounds familiar, you might have heard their hit “Porcupine Jacket” in the 2008 teen comedy major motion picture, Sex Drive. Also, keep an ear out for their music to be included in the upcoming film, Battlecreek, directed by Alison Eastwood.
Although they’re based in Tempe, AZ, Tramps & Thieves is a band committed to making its way to as many people and places as possible. You can find their music on iTunes, CDBaby.com, Reverbnation.com, and Spotify, and you can follow them on social media at www.facebook.com/trampsandthieves/ and www.twitter.com/TrampsThieves.
By far and away the best way to experience this band is where they are most comfortable, on stage, so make the time to get out and support live music!
